FC Barcelona vs Bayern Munich line ups: UEFA Champions League quarter-final

The only two previous winners of the UEFA Champions League face off tonight for a place in the semi-finals - here is how FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich line up.

Bayern have been tipped as favourites to win the competition this year after a strong end to their domestic campaign as they won their eighth consecutive Bundesliga title.

Meanwhile, Barcelona struggled to reach their usual standards and succumbed to Real Madrid in the LaLiga title race with several underwhelming performances after the return of football.

However, with six-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi within their ranks, the Spanish giants cannot be ruled out completely as the look to book a place against Olympique Lyon or Manchester City in the last four.

Both sides are five-time winners of the competition, while Barcelona are taking part in a record 13th straight quarter-final tie but will face a monumental task against arguably the finest striker in world football, Robert Lewandowski.

The Poland international who's netted 13 goals in the competition this season stars up-front tonight and will be aiming to prove a point after the cancellation of the 2020 Ballon d'Or.

Confirmed starting line-ups:

Barcelona: Ter Stegen; Semedo, Piqué, Lenglet, Alba; Vidal, Busquets, Sergi Roberto, De Jong; Messi, Suárez.

FC Bayern: Neuer, Kimmich, Boateng, Alaba, Davies, Goretzka, Thiago, Muller, Lewandowski, Perisic, Gnabry.
