However, the tournament bid farewell to Manchester United and Inter Milan who were unable to secure much-needed victories in their final group games this week.

Bayern Munich were one of the standout performers as usual, so it was no surprise to see that three of their stars were included in the line-up, including Manuel Neuer who only conceded four goals in five games.

Even though the Red Devils were eliminated in the group stages, Bruno Fernandes was still one of the top performers according to whoScored. The Portuguese midfielder bagged four goals and an assist in six matches.

Unsurprisingly, there were still place in the side for superstar duo Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo but Robert Lewandowski was snubbed.
