Antonio Conte calls for respect after heated exchange with Juventus chief

Inter boss Conte, a former player and manager of the Bianconeri, found himself caught up in a back-and-forth with Agnelli following his side's 2-1 aggregate defeat to Juve in the Coppa Italia semi-final on Tuesday evening, with the latter having reportedly been seen shouting, "Fu** off, shut up a**hole" at the 51-year-old.

"Juventus should tell the truth," Conte told Rai1 h/t Football Italia when asked about the incident. "I think the fourth official heard and saw what happened throughout the match. They should be more polite in my opinion. They need more sportsmanship and respect for those who work."

However, it later appeared that the former Italy boss had made offensive gestures earlier in the match, with video footage emerging of him showing a middle finger towards an unidentified person or persons on Juventus' side of the sidelines heading into the half-time break.

Nonetheless, it was Juventus who progressed to the final of the competition courtesy of Cristiano Ronaldo's well-taken brace in the first leg of the tie, where Andrea Pirlo's charges will now face either Atalanta or reigning champions Napoli for a shot at getting their hands on the coveted trophy.
