Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is reportedly "obsessed" with an ex-Barcelona star, and has urged the club to sign him up.
The Dutch tactician has requested the club's board to place a bid for OGC Nice centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo, according to Nacional via Football365.

The 23-year-old, who was on the Blaugrana's books between 2019 and 2021, is said to be the subject of Ten Hag's "obsession" as the Dutch tactician looks to plug the side's defensive leaks after conceding 11 goals in seven Premier League games this season.
It is believed, however, that the Red Devils would have to fork out £34 million (R792 million) in order to bring Todibo to Old Trafford in January, a move that would give Ten Hag a much-needed option in the backline.
It is further claimed that United have shortlisted two other defenders for the position: namely Bayer Leverkusen's Edmond Tapsoba and Benfica prospect Antonio Silva.
With injuries to key first-choice defenders such as Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw, the United boss is understood to be looking for defensive reinforcements he can bring in when the January window opens.
The Manchester club recently announced that the Argentine will be out for an "extensive period" after experiencing discomfort during their defeats to Brighton Hove Albion and Bayern Munich.
Ten Hag has confirmed that the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner will soon undergo surgery as a result.
