Varane 'decides' Man Utd future after Ten Hag fall out

Defender Raphael Varane has made a decision on his future at Manchester United after a reported falling out with manager Erik ten Hag.

There were reports claiming that Varane and Ten Hag had fallen over the last few weeks, which has the defender drop to the bench.

The Daily Mail reported that strain on the relationship began after Ten Hag decided against bringing on Varane during the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City, with the Frenchman not happy about that decision.

Varane has since been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, however the Athletic have reported that the World Cup winner has no desire to leave the club when the January transfer window opens.

England international Harry Maguire has been preferred on the right side of the central defence in recent weeks, with Jonny Evans playing alongside the former club captain.

Varane has been making appearances off the bench to help see out the victories before the FIFA break.

Ten Hag also dispelled any rumours of a falling out with the former Real Madrid defender.

"Rapha Varane? I don't know what you're talking about," Ten Hag told reporters, as per ESPN.

"It's rumours. Very important player, but there's internal competition and there should be at a top club, as we are."
