While Christophe Galtier is still officially Les Parisiens' manager, the French tactician is expected to make way for former AS Roma and Barcelona boss Luis Enrique.
The Spaniard's appointment is expected to be finalised in the coming weeks as the Ligue 1 champions hope to usher in a new era of success with the 53-year-old.
According to L'Equipe, however, one of the prerequisites of the ex-midfielder's decision to take the PSG job was that he could count on Brazil's all-time top goalscorer, Neymar, still being at the club next season.
The 31-year-old played his final game of the 2022/23 campaign in February, missing the rest of the season due to an ankle injury.
It is believed the club had become disillusioned with the winger's constant knocks since arriving in the French capital in 2017, and had placed him on the transfer list as a result, but Enrique seemingly has other plans for the attacker.
The duo won nine titles during their time together at the Camp Nou, including the 2014/15 UEFA Champions League, a trophy the French side have longed for since Qatar Sports Investments' takeover of the club in 2011.
Enrique reportedly still views the prolific winger as a pivotal player, and is looking forward to working with him again.

Under no other manager has Neymar been as prolific as he was under Enrique in Catalonia. Under the Spaniard, the Mogi das Cruzes native scored 90 goals and provided 68 assists in 145 matches as he formed a formidable attacking front three with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
