FC Barcelona secured the bragging rights in El Clasico with a 4-0 thrashing of arch-rivals Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday night.
Los Blancos were without Karim Benzema due to a calf injury, but there were recalls for Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal and Luka Modric from the win at Mallorca, while Barca handed starts to Ronald Araujo and Ousmane Dembele.
The Catalans started brightly when Ferran Torres surged left of the area to allow Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang an opportunity to profit, but Thibaut Courtois saved on 12 minutes.
There was more work for Courtois seconds later as he shifted across his area to palm Dembele's curling attempt away from the top left corner of the net.
Barcelona made their dominance count just before the half-hour mark after Aubameyang connected with a cross from Dembele to head past Courtois for his first El Clasico goal.

Los Blancos looked a way back, but fell further behind six minutes to halftime when a corner-kick from Dembele met the head of a rising Araujo to make it 2-0.
Real suffered more woes a minute in the second half as an unmarked Torres latched onto an audacious back-heel from Aubameyang to slam into the top corner.
The Blaugrana cruised further minutes later after Aubameyang beat the offside trap to get on the end of Torres's reverse pass for a calm finish, as VAR overturned the on-field offside decision.
Madrid looked to the bench midway in the second half and threw on Lucas Vazquez for Nacho Fernandez and Marco Asensio for Rodrygo.
Los Blancos weren't spared despite the fresh faces as the Blaugrana continued to apply pressure with shots from all angles by Torres and later on Memphis Depay.
Nevertheless, the Blaugrana enjoyed complete control of the contest inside the latter passages and marched to victory at the end.
