FC Barcelona legend Dani Alves says the club had no balls and he's proved them wrong since leaving the club in 2016.
After winning 23 major titles over eight seasons with the LaLiga giants, the Brazil international right-back was allowed to leave on a free transfer.
With seven titles added over the past four seasons with Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain respectively before his return to his homeland with Sao Paulo, Alves claims it's highlighted their error in judgement.
A domestic double with six goals and seven assists in 33 games in his solitary season in Serie A solidified his status as an elite defender despite his advancing years.
"I offered myself to Barca to come back. I went to Juve to prove I was still at a good level," Alves told RAC 1.
"I wanted to return to Barca and they needed me, but they didn't have the balls to admit that they were wrong with me. If they had treated me as I thought I deserved, today I would still continue playing for Barca. I love this club."

Barcelona has been on a steady decline since the departure of Pep Guardiola eight years ago despite continuing to win silverware and Alves concedes the leadership under former president Josep Maria Bartomeu crippled their legacy.
"The style of Barca is changing. The club has lost its identity a bit and now has to go through a tough process to recover it," the three-time UEFA Champions League winner explained.
"I think that Barca only wants to be a commercial and business club...buy and sell players. When you do that, you lose your identity. I think that is the problem for Barcelona."
Alves scored 21 goals and registered 101 assists in 391 games in all competitions in eight years after his €35.5-million switch from Sevilla in 2008.
