Mbappe & Vinicius shine in Madrid's big win

Real Madrid recorded a 3-0 win over the newly-promoted Real Oviedo and continued their perfect start to the LALIGA season on Sunday evening.

Dani Carvaja, Antonio Rudiger, Franco Mastantuono and Rodrygo came in for Trent Alexander-Arnold, Eder Militao, Brahim Diaz and Vinicius Junior for the away side.

After a slow start, Los Blancos got a decent chance in the earlier exchanges when Rodrygo ran in on the left and teed-up Arda Guler but the Turk disappointingly fluffed his lines.

Guler made up late in the half when he played a lofted ball into the path of Kylian Mbappe, who stepped in space and drilled perfectly across goalkeeper Aaron Escandell for the opening goal.

Madrid made sure of the victory when substitute Vinicius came short to the area and teed-up Mbappe to find the bottom-corner from the far side.

Vinicius got in on the act with the last kick of the game when he ran in on the near side and fired into the bottom-corner to confirm the victory.

Levante 2-3 FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona made it two wins from two matches in LaLiga after securing a come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Levante UD on Saturday evening.

After a strong start to the season, Barca made two changes with Marc Casado coming in for Frenkie De Jong while Marcus Rashford filled in for Fermin Lopez.

The champions trailed in the opening quarter when a swift counter-attack saw Ivan Romero on hand with a smart finish into the bottom-corner.

Levante bagged a second goal deep into time added on when Jose Morales beat goalkeeper Joan Garcia from the penalty spot following a hand-ball in the area by Alejandro Balde.

The Blaugrana came out for the second half inspired and reduced the deficit when Pedri capitalised on a loose ball and rifled into the top-corner.

Barcelona got the equaliser minutes later after a pin-point cross by Raphinha found the outstretched leg of Ferran Torres

With a draw on the cards, the title holders snatched all the points right at the death as Unai Elgezabal turned Lamine Yamal's cross into his own net.
