Barca president responds to Dembele's links with PSG

FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta has responded to reports claiming that Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Ousmane Dembele.

The French forward signed a new two-year contract before the start of the 2022/2023 season despite reports claiming the club could not afford his wage demands.

Reports in France claim that Kylian Mbappe wants the French champions to sign his countryman, but Laporta insists the player is not for sale.

"He's not for sale. We will deal with his renewal when the time comes, he is one of the most important players in the team," Laporta told Que T'hi Jugues.

"He's one of the mainstays. Whenever he plays, he's always outstanding. Yesterday he scored a magnificent goal."

Dembele, meanwhile, says he is happy at the camp Nou when asked about the PSG links on Thursday.

"I am good here, I am happy in Barcelona, I like my life here. The coach trusts me and the board too. I like the faith there is and the atmosphere around here," Dembele told Belgian outlet Eleven.
