Manchester City have reached an agreement for the transfer of Barcelona keeper Claudio Bravo

It could spell the end of Joe Hart’s time at the North East side with the English gloveman now potentially third-choice for manager Pep Guardiola.

In confirming the new, Barca technical secretary said the Spanish club are also on the hunt for a new keeper, with Ajax Amsterdam’s Jasper Cillessen expected to be signed.

"We are awaiting events this week. When Claudio leaves, we hope to have a new keeper,” he said.

Bravo did play for Barca in their 6-2 LaLiga win over Real Betis on Saturday.

It seems likely now that Hart will join fellow Premier League side Everton, potentially on loan for this season with the view to a permanent move.

Hart has made 347 appearances for City in all competitions over the past 10 years.
