German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund and head coach Thomas Tuchel part ways

The 43-year-old took over at Dortmund in 2015 and has overseen second and third-placed finishes in the Bundesliga over the last two seasons respectively, while also overseeing two German Cup final appearances, the second of which ended in victory for BVB this past weekend.

However, the German giants have since taken the decision to relieve the coach of his duties at Westfalenstadion, with Tuchel confirming the news on his official Twitter account, with a post which read:

The tweet translates to: 'Thank you to the fans, the team, the staff and to all who have supported us. Wish all the best to the @BVB. TT'

German publication Bild claim Tuchel's compensation package could cost Dortmund around £2.5million.
