Thomas Tuchel to send 15 Chelsea stars packing?

Manager Thomas Tuchel is reportedly ready to effect a major clearout at Chelsea, with as many as 15 players potentially on their way out in this transfer window.

Despite already securing Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly's signatures, the Blues are reportedly still targeting a number of players as new co-owner Todd Boehly looks to bolster the side even further.

With the London club said to be pursuing Jules Kounde, Presnel Kimpembe and Frenkie de Jong, among others, it is understood a number of first-team players will make way for further incomings.

While Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger and Romelu Lukaku (albeit on loan) have already secured exits, forward Timo Werner hinted at a potential move away recently when he admitted he wants to "play more".

The Germany international has previously been linked with a switch to Bayern Munich as they look to find a suitable replacement for new FC Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski.

Spanish duo Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso continue to be heavily linked with the Blaugrana as talks continue between the two clubs.

The former is said to have already agreed personal terms with the Catalan giants, and could return to Spain in a deal that would cost the LaLiga side between €4 million and €5 million (R69 million and R87 million), according to Sport

Tiemoue Bakayoko, who is currently in the middle of a two-season loan at AC Milan, is reportedly closing in on a move to Olympique Marseille after agreeing personal terms with the Ligue 1 club.

The Serie A champions are understood to be open to terminating his two-year loan after he made only 14 league appearances in the 2021/22 season.

With Kimpembe and Kounde tipped to make the switch to Tuchel's side, highly-rated teenager Levi Colwill is reportedly open to leaving Stamford Bridge, with Everton and Leicester City believed to be interested in the young defender.

The 19-year-old starred for Huddersfield Town last season as they finished third in the Championship and also made the play-off final.

Ghana international Baba Rahman, meanwhile, was excluded from Tuchel's 29-man squad list that left England for the club's pre-season tour of America, and is thus reportedly surplus to requirements – scroll through the gallery up top to see more Blues stars who could soon be heading out of Stamford Bridge.
