Liverpool managed to salvage point in the dying stages to secure a 1-1 draw away to Luton Town on Sunday evening.
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp made just one change from the win over Nottingham Forest last weekend, as Joe Gomez slotted in at left-back.
It was all Liverpool in the closing stages, as Darwin Nunez should have put the side ahead on 12 minutes but his slammed his strike against the crossbar from close range.
Mohamed Salah was in good form heading into the fixture but he also squandered a glorious chance at the midway point with a wild volley in the box that sailed over the crossbar.
Luton, meanwhile, only showed glimpses of their attacking prowess, with Chiedozie Ogbene proving to be a real threat against Trent Alexander-Arnold with his pace.
The home side were a bit more livelier in the second half as the game began to open up, but Klopp's men remained in control without creating much.
As a result, the German tactician threw on Harvey Elliot, Cody Gakpo, and Konstantinos Tsimikas just after the hour mark.
The visitors should have been ahead soon after that but were let down by Nunez, who ballooned his effort over the crossbar from six yards.
All those missed chance came back to haunt Liverpool after Luton took a surprising lead on 80 minutes, with former Manchester United youngster Tahith Chong finishing off a well-worked counter attack.
With the game heading for a shock Luton, substitute Luis Diaz managed to rescue a point in the 95th minute with a lovely header at the far post after being picked out by Harvey Elliot.
