Arsenal stage comeback to save unbeaten run

Arsenal came back from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw against Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Goalkeeper David Raya continued to keep goal for the Gunners after their win over Manchester City before Conor Gallagher, Raheem Sterling and Enzo Fernandez led the line for Chelsea.

Enzo was on the end of a move to give the host the lead seconds after the start as the visitors scrambled to clear their lines -leaving the Argentine to pounce and guide over.

Chelsea did make their bright opening count with 15 minutes played as a coming-together in the area resulted in a penalty-kick which Cole Palmer ended up tucking away.

The visitors looked to get one back before the interval though didn't manage to get beyond their counterparts who held on tight.

Mikel Arteta's men fell further behind following the break as Mykhailo Mudryk showed smart footwork and beat Raya with a wonder strike six minutes from the break.

Chelsea were in the ascendancy and enjoyed much of the momentum, leaving the Gunners scramble about in the quest to carve out a comeback before full-time.

Two changes from Arteta came in the closing quarter where former Chelsea man Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard stepped on the field from the substitutes bench.

Arsenal halved the tally with 15 minutes to play as a loose pass from Robert Sanchez rolled perfectly for Declan Rice who fired in the top corner.

The goal inspired the Gunners who bagged the leveller in the last three minutes after substitute Trossard got at the back-post to tuck in a cross-field delivery.

With time running out, neither side managed to get the winner and saw the spoils shared in North London.
