Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has commented on who should win this year's Ballon d'Or, with Erling Haaland and Lionel Messi favourites for the award.
Haaland netted 52 goals across all competitions to help the Citizens win the UEFA Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup last season.

Messi, meanwhile, played a big role in helping Argentina win the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar where he was also named Player of the Tournament.
While some reports claim Messi is set to win his record-extending eighth Ballon d'Or crown, the Citizens manager feels both players are deserving of the accolade.
"Always I said the Ballon d'Or should be in two sections; one for Messi, then after another one so Haaland should win, yes," Guardiola told reporters, as per ESPN.
"We won the treble, he scored a million goals. The worst season for Messi is the best for the rest of the players. Both deserve it.
"Realistically I want Haaland to have it cause he helped us achieve what we achieved, I would love it. But Messi won the World Cup."
