Chelsea 'open talks' for R2bn-rated African star

Chelsea are reportedly among a few big clubs to have made an enquiry to sign a Ghanaian star, who is said to be worth £85million (R2billion).

West Ham United attacker Mohammed Kudus has seemingly attracted interest from clubs in Europe and the Saudi Pro League.

BBC Sport have reported that Chelsea are one of the clubs who have already engaged in talks about the Ghanian attacker and his availability.

The report claims that Kudus is open to leaving the Olympic Stadium in search of a team playing in the UEFA Champions League next season.

The 24-year-old, who registered five goals and three assists this past season, still has three years remaining on his deal with the London outfit.

The report adds that Kudus' release clause of £85million (R2billion) could be a hurdle for European teams, while teams in Saudi Arabia have been hit with a £120million price tag.

The Hammers could look to offload the Ghana international in order to fund their transfers for the new season.
