Borussia Dortmund 4-0 Eintracht Frankfurt
Borussia Dortmund leapfrogged Bayern Munich to the top of the Bundesliga table after thrashing Eintracht Frankfurt 4-0 courtesy Signal Iduna Park.
Jude Bellingham opened the scoring for Dortmund on 19 minutes with a strike from the edge of the box into the bottom corner after he was teed up by Julian Brandt.
Donyell Malen gave the home side a two-goal buffer five minutes later with a finish on the far side of the box after a header across goal by Karim Adeyemi.
Mats Hummels put Edin Terzic's charges out of sight just before the interval with a towering header from a cross by Raphael Guerreiro.
Malen made it 4-0 for BVB on 66 minutes and got his brace with a side-footed strike into the bottom corner after he was setup by Adeyemi.
Mainz 3-1 Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich lost hold of top spot after a shock 3-1 defeat to Mainz at Mewa Arena.
Bayern made four changes from their draw against Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League, as Leroy Sane, Thomas Muller, Alphonso Davies and Josip Stanisic were brought in.
Bayern could not get going early on after a hamstring injury to Davies with only nine minutes on the clock and he was replaced by Noussair Mazraoui.
Once the Bavarians got going, they eventually got the breakthrough on the half-hour mark courtesy of a header by Sane at the back post from a cross by Joao Cancelo.
With a 1-0 lead at the break, Thomas Tuchel's charges could not maintain their momentum in the second stanza, as Ludovic Ajorque levelled matters for Mainz on 65 minutes with a header from a set-piece.
Leandro Barreiro gave Mainz a 2-1 lead on 73 minutes with a low drive in the box after a through ball by Karim Onisiwo.
Aaron Martin killed the game for the hosts 11 minutes before time with a stunning low first-time shot after a high press put Bayern under pressure.
Hoffenheim 1-3 Koln
Koln moved closer to confirming relegation survival after thrashing Hoffenheim 3-1 at PreZero Arena.
Florian Kainz sent Koln ahead on 18 minutes and Davie Selke gave them a two-goal cushion just before the interval.
Jan Thielmann put the game to bed for the visitors in stoppage time while Kasper Dolberg scored a consolation goal for Hoffenheim in the tail end.
Hertha Berlin 2-4 Werder Bremen
Werder Bremen piled more misery on bottom side Hertha Berlin after drubbing them 4-2 with Marvin Ducksch netting a hat-trick at Olympiastadion.
Marvin Ducksch opened the scoring for Bremen as early as the sixth minute, doubled the lead for the visitors just before the half-hour mark and grabbed his brace and he made it 3-0 to complete his hat-trick early in the second stanza.
Bremen were running riot just after the hour-mark, as Mitchell Weiser mads it 4-0.
Jessic Ngankam pulled a goal back for Hertha just after that and Dodi Lukebakio got the second goal back with 11 minutes remaining but it was too little too late, as the damage was done in the first stanza.
Bochum 1-5 Wolfsburg
Wolfsburg won their first match in four games after drubbing relegation-threatened Bochum 5-1 courtesy of a brace by Mattias Svanberg Vonovia Ruhrstadion.
Svanberg gave Wolfsburg an early lead on ten minutes, Jakub Kaminski doubled their lead 11 minutes later and Patrick Wimmer put the Wolves out of sight just after the half-hour mark.
Svanberg made it 4-0 for Wolfsburg and got his brace 11 minutes into the second stanza while Moritz Broschinski got a consolation goal for Bochum with 21 minutes left.
Luca Waldsxhmidt restored the four-goal buffer for Wolfsburg nine minutes later
