Bundesliga Wrap

Bayern Munich consolidated their position at the top of the Bundesliga standings with a 1-0 win over Augsburg.

Robert Lewandowski netted from the penalty spot in the 13th minute for his 22nd goal of the season, 12 more than any other player in the top-flight. Alfred Finnbogason missed a penalty in the 75th minute for the hosts.

The Bavarians still hold a four point lead at the top, while Augsburg are now in 12th.

RB Leipzig kept up the pressure on leaders Bayern Munich with a 1-0 victory over Union Berlin.

Emil Forsberg scored the only goal of the game in the 70th minute after being assisted by Dani Olmo.

Julian Nagelsmann's side are three points behind Bayern, while Union are in sixth.

FC Koln poured more misery on Schalke 04 with a 2-1 victory in a bottom-of-the-table clash.

Koln took the lead in the 31st minute through Rafael Czichos before Matthew Hoppe equalised for the hosts in the 57th minute.

However, Jan Thielmann netted in the third minute of stoppage time to secure a dramatic last-gasp win and lift Koln closer to safety.

Arminia Bielefeld claimed a shock 3-0 victory over Stuttgart.

Fabian Klos broke the deadlock in the 27th minute before Mario Kempf put the ball into his own net and then Ritsu Doan grabbed the third.

With the win, Uwe Neuhaus' side remain in 15th position, two points above the relegation zone.

Freiburg and Eintracht Frankfurt played to a 2-2 draw in a mid-table clash.

Amin Younes (6') and Kevin Schlotterbeck (75') netted for the hosts, while Roland Sallai (32') and Nils Petersen (63') got on the scoresheet for the Frankfurters.

Both teams remain where they were, with Eintracht in eighth, three points above Freiburg in ninth.
