Bayern Munich put in another dominant display after thrashing Hoffenheim 4-1 on Saturday evening.

Borussia Dortmund regained winning ways in the Bundesliga following a 3-1 beating of FC Augsburg on Saturday.

Berlin were ahead late in the first half thanks to a decent strike from centre-back Robin Knoche, but tt was cancelled out towards the closing period of the second half through Alassane Plea, leaving the points shared in Berlin.

SV Werder Bremen failed to edge closer to the top-half of the table with a 1-1 draw at home to bottom-placed Schalke .

It was Schalke who threw the first blow in the latter periods of the first half through Omar Mascarell, as Kevin Mohwald rescued the hosts with the leveller minutes before conclusion.

Eintracht Frankfurt registered successive wins to jump to third spot on the table through a 3-1 victory over Hertha Berlin.

Hertha broke the deadlock in the second half through Krzysztof Piatek before Andre Silva netted the equaliser with Martin Hinteregger netting the home side's second.
