The nominees for the 2019/20 Bundesliga Player of the Season award have been revealed, with Robert Lewandowski and new Chelsea signing Timo Werner among the candidates.
On Friday, the Bundesliga revealed the seven-man shortlist for the Player of the Season award, with each nominee earning his spot on the list after winning one of the campaign's Player of the Month (POTM) accolades.

Bayern Munich star Lewandowski, who is currently the league's leading goalscorer with 31 strikes, is one of the favourites to win the award and features alongside teammate Serge Gnabry.
Werner, who recently completed a German record €53 million (R1 billion) transfer to Chelsea, is a strong contender after winning the POTM gong in November and December – the only player to win the award twice this season.

Schalke's Amine Harit has also been nominated alongside three of world football's most promising players, namely Erling Haaland, Jadon Sancho (both of Borussia Dortmund) and Bayer Leverkusen's Kai Havertz.
