Al Ahly coach makes plea to fans ahead of CAF CL final

Al Ahly coach Marcel Koller has made a plea to the supporters ahead of their CAF Champions League second leg against Esperance.

The tie is evenly poised at 0-0 after last week's first leg in Tunisia, but a winner will be crowned in Cairo this evening.

Esperance managed to pick up the victory in their last away clash in the competition, after overcoming Mamelodi Sundowns in the semi-finals.

The defending champions will be back on home soil and Koller has pleaded with the fans to make it uncomfortable for Esperance.

"Those who watched the first leg know that the two teams are equally matched," Koller told a pre-match press conference, as per Ahram.

"It won't be an easy task."

"We need our fans to make Esperance feel like they're playing away from home."

Koller also added that they are equipped to deal with the absence of experienced full-back Ali Maaloul, who picked up an Achilles injury in the first leg.

"We have a replacement for Maaloul and we're confident they will perform well," Koller added.

"I've prepared myself and the team for all possible scenarios, and we're ready to handle whatever comes our way," he concluded.
