Chokoe was dismissed after Vhadau Vha Damani played to a 1-1 draw with TS Galaxy yesterday, a result which left the side in fifth spot on the National First Division table.
The former Baroka and Black Leopards mentor initially linked up with TTM in July 2017 when the club was in the ABC Motsepe League.
"It is something that was decided yesterday," Madzuhe explains to snl24.com/kickoff.
"I think we gave them the mandate on the last two games, which was the game when we played ... the one which we drew this week, and after we lost against Uthongathi we had a meeting with the technical team, and we had discussions where there was two options in the team because the results were not coming. And the management indicated to the technical team to say, 'It looks like you have been given enough time but now things are not happening'. From there we gave them two games.
"The main reason I think, in the past six games the team was not performing well. I think that was the main reason. Currently we feel the results are not coming and we need to get someone who can come and take this team to the next level.
"I think we are going to have enough time because we are playing a Nedbank game on the Wednesday where we are going to have a caretaker coach within our team, between the physical trainer Phuthi Mohafe and goalkeeper trainer against Polokwane City. They will be in charge from today's training and the Nedbank Cup game. From there we are going to search for the new coach, because we are going to play our next game on the second of February."
