Bance has been a vital experienced influence in The Stallions at the Afcon finals here in Gabon where they have won the support of a considerable number neutrals.
On Saturday evening he struck the opener in the 2-0 over Tunisia with a trademark free kick that had hallmarks of the kind of forward that he is – power and bite – as The Burkinabe became the first nation to book their place in the last four.
Facing up to a few South African journalists after the victory over The Carthage Eagles, the 32-year-old admitted he would consider returning to South Africa despite the rough ride he endured during his short stay with Chippa United.
“South Africa is a good country with a good championship and good players and if there is an offer for me l will consider coming back,” says Bance.
“However, it will have to be a club with a good chairman. I don’t like being with a club led by a director who will not meet my contractual agreements. So honestly speaking if I get another chance with another club I will be ready to play again in the South African championship. I am still open to the negotiations.
"I am still open to come and play in the South African championship again. After all I am a player who always gives his best when he goes onto the field,” he says.
Having been most recently doing duty with ASEC Mimosas back where he was born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, after a short spell with Riga FC in Latvia – the team he played for after leaving Chippa United last year – it is expected that he will not be staying long in his home town.
Bance was born in Ivory Coast, but has represented Burkina Faso at international level.
At Chippa he scored three goals in 17 starts, but had running battles with the club over money before he ultimately left in May 2016 having last played for the club three months earlier.
The nomadic forward has also played football in Burkina Faso, Belgium, Ukraine, Germany, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, Finland and Kazakhstan.
At this tournament he has been used an impact player – mostly coming from the bench like he did on Saturday evening.
“I have known that I will not play all the matches from the beginning, yet I have also known that when I come on in the second half I must give my best on the field,” he notes.
Burkina Faso face Egypt in their semi-final clash on Wednesday.
