Amaglug-glug's new Olympic kit and more

The Tokyo Olympic Games men's football tournament is underway, and South Africa's under-23 team is rocking a new Maxed kit. Here are the home kits of the 16 competing nations in this year's tournament.

South African fans were left surprised earlier this month when the South African Football Association posted images of the boys in tracksuits of a new kit sponsor.

Rather than the expected Le Coq Sportif outfit, the South Africa national under-23 soccer team were geared up in Maxed for their opening encounter against hosts Japan.

Did you know?

Maxed, which is the Mr. Price Sports brand, has partnered with the entire South African Olympics team, including the men's soccer team and the apparel is the first of its kind as it marks a milestone as the first locally designed and manufactured brand to be worn at the Olympic Games.

The look and feel.

The kit embellishes a bold yellow and green colourway, kind of similar to that of Golden Arrows. It has a round neck fit that is perfect for performance and the design of the aesthetic and print of the shirt is said to be a symbol of the Protea flower.

Japan, Germany, South Korea, Brazil, Argentina, and the other participating nations besides Australia will rock their usual sponsored kits. Similar to South Africa, Australia and Mexico have a special kit for the tournament as they are rocking green Asics and Li-Ning kits respectively.

Your thoughts, please?
