Tonic Chabalala wants to see Orlando Pirates' Thamsanqa Gabuza play against Kaizer Chiefs in the Telkom Knockout

On October 27, EzikaMagebhula came from behind to beat their biggest rivals 2-1 in a league match at FNB Stadium.

On Saturday they clash again in a Telkom Knockout semi-final encounter at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban at 15h00.

Chabalala advises Pirates' technical team to start with Thamsanqa Gabuza upfront tomorrow as he assumes a new strategy will be required.

"It's going to be tough because it's a cup game and a Derby," he tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"But when I look at Pirates I see favourites you know, they have got speed going forward and the technical team of Pirates I think they will play a good role for Pirates to go through. Though it won't be like in the last Derby but I see Pirates winning. But because it's a cup game obviously the approach is going to change, but still for me Pirates has already got an upper hand.

"Happy Jele has played in a lot of Derbies, and in the middle there's the likes of [Ben] Motshwari, [Xola] Mlambo, [Luvuyo] Memela or [Thabo] Qalinge, or [Thembinkosi] Lorch.

"But still this time around I think they will come with a different approach where they can put Gabuza upfront, because for me Kaizer Chiefs' defence, they are a bit shaky - there's no Derby experience. I think Gabuza's got experience and he is professional.

"Whatever happened I think bakhulumile naye, what happened before happened, it's old news now. It's water under the bridge. If he plays he must go there and do his job. This is a cup game and a different approach is needed. We can't use the same approach that we used in the last game."
