Ticket sales open for second Absa Premiership Soweto Derby

Chiefs will be looking to make it third time lucky this season, under new coach Ernst Middendorp, when they host Pirates in their second round Absa Premiership fixture.

The tie is scheduled to take place in just under three weeks on February 9, and tickets have already gone on sale for the eagerly-anticipated action.

Arguably the biggest fixture in Southern Africa, the two Soweto giants earlier met in the league and Telkom Knockout, with The Buccaneers coming out on top on both occasions.

However, having gone through a coaching change over a month ago, Amakhosi will be hopeful that Middendorp can finally end their 11-match winless streak against the Bucs.

This will also be the first meeting between Middendorp and Milutin Sredojevic since 9 December 2006, when Pirates and Chiefs played to a 1-1 draw, thanks to goals from Benedict Vilakazi and Shaun Bartlett respectively.

Tckets for the upcoming clash are available through Computicket outlets nationwide. Prices range as follows: Level 1: R100; Level 2: R150; Level 5: R70, kids Under-12: R30.

Kick-off is scheduled for 15h30.
