Fans wishing to attend the first Soweto Derby of the 2018/19 season but have not yet purchased tickets will be lamenting their missed opportunity as there are now none available.
Pirates will next Saturday host arch-rivals Chiefs in the biggest fixture on the PSL calendar at the FNB Stadium for the first time since March.
Such has been the excitement for the mammoth encounter that all regular tickets to the 86 000-capacity stadium have already been snapped up.
A statement from The Buccaneers, who are the home side for this first leg Absa Premiership encounter between the two sides, on Friday has confirmed that only 4000 hospitality tickets remain.
"The anticipation of the biggest match in the local football calendar has reached fever pitch and this is confirmed by the 82 000 grand stand allocated tickets for the Absa Premiership Derby being SOLD OUT," read the statement.
"The only tickets left available for the match are 4 000 hospitality tickets which can be purchased from SAIL via email to
or telephonically on 082 805 3150."The demand for tickets was perhaps fueled by the fact that the Soweto rivals have shown their grit early on this season, as they currently occupy second and third position on the standings.
Before then, Telkom Knockout action is set to take centre stage this weekend, with Bucs hosting Chippa United at Orlando Stadium on Saturday (20h15), before Amakhosi host Black Leopards at FNB Stadium on Sunday (15h00).
