AmaZulu FC have announced the signing of Namibian international Elmo Kambindu as the ambitious Durban-based outfit continue to strengthen their squad for what promises to be a hectic second round schedule of the season.
Usuthu announced on Tuesday, via a club statement, that Kambindu becomes the eighth Namibian to don the AmaZulu jersey and the third signing of the January transfer window following the acquisitions of Sandile Mthethwa and Bongani Zungu.

This comes on the back of what co-head coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi described as a 'worrying factor' with the side forced to deploy winger Tshepang Moremi in the striker position due to a lack of options up front against Mamelodi Sundowns in December.
"I think it's a worrying department. As you [journalists] are saying, [Junior] Dion didn't have a good game, and we ended up using Moremi, who is a winger, as a striker. He did very well because we identified that he has that appetite for exploiting spaces, and he might do well as a striker," Vilakazi said after that encounter.
"But it's a worrying factor. We are still looking for a striker because even in the next game, [Etiosa] Ighodaro will be available, but you can't rely on one person."

For all their challenges, AmaZulu have made steady progress in recent matches, collecting two wins from the last five matches.
They have also welcomed experienced midfielder Bongani Zungu, who proved his worth by scoring the match-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Magesi FC last weekend.
