The Army Men, who are led by Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos' former assistant, Sven Vandenbroeck, claimed the trophy on Saturday after recording a comprehensive 3-0 win over Moghreb Tétouan which saw the club win the competition for a record-extending 12th time.
Smith joined the club in February following a season with Finnish top-flight side FC Honka, where he featured in the UEFA Europa Conference League and has so far made six appearances for the Moroccan side across all competitions.
The 26-year-old also previously played for Ekenas in Finland, where he scored a Golden Boot-winning 17 goals in 2020, in what was his first season abroad following spells with the likes of Santos, AmaZulu and Matsatsantsa.
