Forgotten Bafana Bafana striker Lars Veldwijk has found a new home in the United Arab Emirates First Division League, as he looks to continue making his mark in the Gulf region.
The South African forward has signed an undisclosed deal with Dibba Al-Hisn SC, a club recently relegated from the UAE Pro League after finishing 13th in a 14-team table.

Veldwijk joins Al-Hisn after impressing with Gulf United during the 2024/25 campaign in the UAE First Division, netting 13 goals in just 15 appearances after joining the club in January.
The Dutch-born striker, known for his imposing presence up front, has also expressed interest in returning to South Africa to play in the Betway Premiership, with clubs like Mamelodi Sundowns reportedly on his radar.
However, for now, the 33-year-old man will be aiming to further cement his legacy in Asian football.
"We are pleased to announce the addition of Lars Veldwik to our team," reads the club's statement.
"A new star joins to write a new chapter in the club's history.
"Lars Veldwik, who has distinguished performance and great experience, will be a strong addition to the team in the competition next season.
