Golden Arrows coach Steve Komphela has commented on losing another opportunity to coach the South African national team.
Komphela was amongst the names of coaches linked with the Bafana Bafana post when Stuart Baxter resigned after the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, with Molefi Ntseki getting the gig.
The Golden Arrows coach, one of the most experienced local candidates, addressed questions about missing out on the big job again.

"No no, I think I must be more positive and wish Molefi Ntseki the very best, there is no need to talk about older candidates for the position. Respect must be given to him," Komphela said.
"Whoever didn't get it, anyway we don't have a God-given birthright to get it, and whoever is given an opportunity must enjoy the support.
"So I never thoughts of it and I was not prepared for my response but all I can say about how I feel, I'm okay with it and Molefi must just be supported and do a good job for the country.
"I think we should give him the support that he requires. We wish him the very best, whether it's in terms of human resources, financial resources, give him the support that he needs and we're hoping he will get things right as quickly as possible."

Komphela says the fact that Ntseki has been with the national teams for a while makes him the best man for the job and he must be given freedom to succeed.
"Listen, given an opportunity like that, he understands our football, he's been there with the junior national teams and with Stuart Baxter, let him do his job, give him support and allow him to do his job."
The question was asked to Komphela whether the South African Football Association approached him or not.
"No, SAFA didn't approach me," he admitted.
