SAFA to offer free tickets for Bafana Bafana 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier vs Ethiopia

Bafana currently top Group G with four points after a 0-0 draw away against Zimbabwe and the 1-0 win at FNB Stadium against Ghana which provides a platform going into the doubleheader against the East Africans next month.

And fans may be set to be in the stadium for the home tie on 10 October - four days after the away clash - with Jordaan revealing at the launch of a vaccination social mobilisation campaign at the FNB Stadium this week.

"When you look at what happens in Europe, why is it that Euro finals can have over 60 000 people in the stadium, can have fans celebrating before, during and after the match," he said on Wednesday, as per SABC News.

"In the match against Ethiopia, we are going to give 50% of the tickets to fans which we will distribute freely."

South African fans have been prevented from live football action for the last 18 months amidst the global pandemic and lockdown regulations.
