Bafana Bafana caretaker coach Molefi Ntseki is set to name his first squad following the departure of Stuart Baxter.
Bafana have been confirmed to face reigning COSAFA champions Zambia in an international friendly to be played in Lusaka on September 7.
This will be Ntseki's first match in charge after serving as Baxter's assistant for the past two years, as he makes the step up from previously leading the men's under-17 national team, known as Amajimbos, to the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile.
It is also the senior national team's first fixture since returning from the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, where they were eliminated at the Last 16 by Nigeria.
Whether Ntseki will be bold in his selection or stick to the tried and trusted used by the Scottish tactician remains to be seen, but all will be revealed at a press conference at SAFA House on Friday at 10h00.
SAFA, meanwhile, are also expected to provide an update on their search for a permanent replacement, with the 2021 AFCON qualifiers kicking off with back-to-back clashes against Ghana and Sudan at the start of November.
