Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse called up to Bafana Bafana squad

A Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper has been called up to replace Darren Keet in the Bafana Bafana squad.

SAFA has confirmed that Keet has been ruled out of Bafana's upcoming international friendly against Zambia, which will be new coach Molefi Ntseki's first match in charge of the senior national team, following the departure of Stuart Baxter.

Keet, according to SAFA, is finalising his work permit is Belgium and will not be able to make it for the friendly against Chipolopolo. Reyaad Pieterse will now compete with Ronwen Williams and Brandon Petersen for a spot in the starting line-up.

The Bafana squad is due to assemble today for camp and they will depart for Zambia on Thursday.

Ntseki will be using the match against Zambia to prepare for the upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Ghana and Sudan in November.
