SAFA have confirmed a friendly fixture for Bafana Bafana during the upcoming FIFA break against a former Africa Cup of Nations-winning nation.
A few weeks after returning from the 2019 AFCON, the national team is set to kit up again to face COSAFA rivals Zambia in a friendly during the September international break.
Having lost coach Stuart Baxter last month, assistant coach Molefi Ntseki will be tasked with leading Bafana on their visit to Lusaka while the association's technical committee continue their search for a permanent replacement.
The fixture is set to take place at the Nkoloma Stadium on September 7, with kick-off scheduled for 15h00. Further details on the squad announcement is set to be revealed at a later date.
Chipolopolo, who were crowned continental champions in 2012, missed out on the 2019 edition of the showpiece in Egypt but recently claimed the COSAFA title in Durban.
Zambia national team caretaker boss Aggrey Chiyangi will be in the country this weekend when he leads Zambian club side Green Eagles in their CAF Champions League second leg against Orlando Pirates.
