Both players are not in coach Gordon Igesund's plans for next season and are set to be on their way out from the club, having been instructed to train with the reserve team.
Matthews says the club are looking to transfer Nkoana, who spent last season on loan at Ajax Cape Town, with the player himself revealing his desire to leave Matsatsantsa.
"There has been quite a lot of interest from clubs for Thabiso and he has expressed his desire to move from the club and we will grant him that," Matthews said.
"He has been a fantastic player for us from our youth academy. He made us proud at Ajax Cape Town by doing well for them and we are not going to stand on his way for him for getting a permanent move from another club.
"Obviously we have to agree terms: we got three teams currently fighting for his signature. But I can safely say for sure that Thabiso will be released during this transfer window."
"We had enquiries for Chenene as well but his situation is more complex,” he said.
"He is not eager to go and play at other clubs as Thabiso. He’s got outside businesses and he doesn't want to move outside Gauteng.
"So if we can find him a team around Gauteng, we are going to go for that and now he has to train like everybody else.
"He is contracted to the club, but obviously we are disappointed with some of his actions in the media. But we understand his frustrations: he is a senior player and well-decorated, and he is currently not training with the first team.
“He is out of shape he needs to get in to shape but I'm confident that they will get a club."
