‘Three out of three’ hazards on for Chiefs

With Kaizer Chiefs having started the season like a house on fire, they have been backed to another three points against a team that has shown vulnerability so far.

Chiefs face a Richards Bay FC side that let in four goals against Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 quarterfinals, before losing their two opening games of the league season to Marumo Gallants and Golden Arrows respectively.

It, therefore, does not take rocket science to figure out who the favourites are heading into the encounter at FNB Stadium on Tuesday (19:30).

"The biggest challenge for Chiefs players is to maintain their form," erstwhile top striker Siyabonga Nomvethe notes, speaking to KickOff.com.

"Given that they are playing at home, this should be a guaranteed three points for them tonight.

"However, since Richards Bay hasn’t had a great start, this will not be an easy game for Chiefs. As the home team, Chiefs will need to put in extra effort. We expect them to continue where they left off.

"The fact that Chiefs have been winning without some of their new players, who are still waiting for work permits, shows that everyone is determined to contribute to the club.

"As a player, you need to seize every opportunity that comes your way, otherwise you risk being left behind," he added.
