“It’s good that we get younger players into Europe,” Jordaan told the media at the Nike Football Training Centre in Soweto.
“You will be surprised or perhaps you must look at the number of younger players who are in Europe at the age of 18 and 19… and for Rivaldo to get in there at a young age it’s very good.
“I think Bafana Bafana will benefit because it’s something that he wanted. He saw it as a dream come true for himself and we want to wish him all the best.
“You talk about deep rural areas; Rivaldo Coetzee comes from the deep rural areas from Kakamas [town located in the Northern Cape]. Don’t know if you know where it is, but go and look on your map… that’s where he comes from.
“We said some of our best players come from the rural areas and we must not overlook that as they too have ambition to play for Bafana Bafana, to play overseas, and to be a big star.”
