Nyundu has played three times in 2016/17, scoring once against AmaZulu on the opening day of the season.
The 28-year-old initially set himself a target of 25 goals this campaign, but is getting disheartened due to his limited appearances.
"Every effort I’m putting in and every second I’m spending with the team at the gym. I’m working hard but it seems like the coach doesn’t have a taste for me," a subdued Nyundu tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"I don’t know. He’s playing (Mwape) Musonda and he is not scoring but he doesn’t take him out so I don’t know what is going on. Honestly speaking, I don’t know. It hurts honest and it hurts my heart.
"I’m parking at home and yes they used me against Tuks (2-0 defeat) in the second half only for 30 minutes and I tried wholeheartedly but things didn’t go well. From then on I’m taken out of the team without an explanation.
"Our communication with the coach, I don’t know either he pretends with me or is bluffing me but it seems like he is pretending with the way things are going on. My brother this thing hurts a lot, I can’t lie and I don’t know what else to do."
Thanda Royal Zulu's Mhlengi Cele currently tops the scoring charts with 10 goals, and Nyundu is losing hope he can challenge for Golden Boot honours.
He adds: "How will I reach my target that I set it for myself from the beginning if I’m sitting at home like this?
"Mhlengi is running away and if he continues running like this I won’t catch him. So I don’t know that I have to do because I’m working hard but not playing. That hurts me so much, honest."
Nyundu - who narrowly missed out on a move to Bidvest Wits in the past - netted eight goals in an injury-affected campaign last term, having hit 19 in all competitions the season before.
