The 20-year-old has penned a two-year contract with Turkish First League side Giresunspor following Ea Lla Koto’s decision to release him at the end of June.
Basit Adam, who signed a three-year deal with Stars in 2013, rarely played for the club because of injuries.
In all, he started 16 matches, came off the bench 14 times and scored 10 goals for Mike Mokoena’s team over the past two seasons.
Basit becomes the second former PSL player to join a Turkish First League side this month after ex-Chippa United striker George Akpabio signed with Yeni Malatyaspor.
