Platinum Stars accept Kaizer Chiefs' decision to move match to Cape Town

Chiefs typically host their opponents at FNB Stadium but have opted to switch three of their home fixtures to the Mother City.

The League games are against Bidvest Wits (19 December, 2015), Platinum Stars (24 January, 2016) and SuperSport United (20 February, 2016).

While the change has ruffled the feathers of Ajax Cape Town, Dikwena are unfazed.

“We don’t have a problem playing our match against Kaizer Chiefs in Cape Town,” Stars football manager Senzo Mazingiza tells snl24.com/kickoff.

“It’s really none of our business where teams choose to their play home matches, we will honour the fixture where it’s played.

“There is no rule that says that when a home team decides to change venue they must cover the travelling costs of the away team. Such a rule doesn’t exist, so we will cover our costs when we travel to Cape Town.”
