Orlando Pirates defender Robyn Johannes is unlikely to move during the transfer window

Johannes hasn't made any contribution at Pirates since returning from a season long loan at Golden Arrows last winter and has been one of the Bucs players rumoured to be linked with a possible move away from the club during the January transfer window ahead of the expiry of his contract in June.

However, Glyn Binkin, the player's agent, says Johannes is currently injured.

"Robyn is currently injured after undergoing a knee operation in November and will return to training in February. So I don't know what will happen. However, he is still under contract with Pirates," says Binkin.

Left with a thin central defence in Siyabonga Sangweni, Lucky Lekgwathi and Ayanda Gcaba following another long-term injury to yet another centre-back in Rooi Mahamutsa, Pirates are sniffing around the transfer market.

Pirates have a triple barrelled challenge ahead of them in the League, the Nedbank Cup and the CAF Champions League which starts during the weekend of February 15-17 against lightweights Djabal Club from the Comoros Islands.
