Nkambule has resurfaced at Fak'imali Uzobona FC and is training with the club to keep fit. The former Amakhosi midfielder, who also played in France, has been out of action for almost three years after he last played in Thailand.
Speaking in an interview with snl24.com/kickoff, Nkambule believes that he still has what it takes to play football in the professional ranks.
"I have almost three years not playing football at the highest level since last played in Thailand. I have been playing in tournaments in Daveyton now and then but now I am back and training full-time," Nkambule says.
"I am currently training with Junior Khanye's team just to keep fit. I also do my own individual training to be in good physical condition.
"I have never quit football. Probably luck was not on my side for people not seeing me playing. I believe now I am in a good space and God will be on my side to get luck and play football again.
"I have never been involved with disciplinary issues with any club I have played for. You can go to Kaizer Chiefs, SuperSport United or Black Leopards, I have never been called for a meeting or even sent to train with the development side due to disciplinary issues.
"My only crime is that I come from Daveyton. You know the players that came from Daveyton that were always mentioned with wrongs. I think some people judged me because I come from Daveyton."
Khanye is looking at many different options to help his homeboy revive career in football.
Other players to come from Daveyton that used to appear in the newspapers for the wrong reasons include Thabiso 'Skapie ' Malatsi, Jabu 'Shuffle ' Mahlangu and Khanye himself.
