Amakhosi, who are looking to bounce back in the coming season after finishing in ninth place last term, will play Township Rollers in Gaborone on July 20, seven days before their Carling Black Label Cup match against Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates at FNB Stadium.
Rollers announced in a press conference on Tuesday that they would be playing against Amakhosi later this month.
Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp will no doubt use the match against Rollers to give new signings Lazarous Kambole and James Kotei a chance to show what they can do. A lot is expected from these two players and Amakhosi fans will be hoping that they have a good pre-season with the club, so that they can deliver once the new seaosn gets underway.
Rollers, meanwhile, have announced Tomas Trucha as their new coach to take over from Rodolfo Zapata, who parted ways with the club despite winning the title. Zapata is said to have lost the dressing room and now Trucha, who is from the Czech Republic, will be leading the side.
Former Black Leopards coach Dylan Kerr had been linked with the head coaching job at Rollers, but Trucha has been appointed and will be under pressure to deliver from the word go.
