Bermard Parker and Siphiwe Tshabala scored the goals on either side of half-time as Kaizer Chiefs grabbed back-to-back wins after an eight-match winless streak.
Proceedings got off to a rather sloppy start as both sides gave away possession cheaply in midfield and attack, with neither able to penetrate the final third of the pitch.
Molangoane's pace looked to cause problems for the Arrows defence, and he did well to skip past two markers with a good turn but his angled pass towards Letlotlo on the egde of the area was a touch too strong.
Chiefs then had the first corner in the 19th minute, but Siphiwe Tshabalala overcooked his set-piece as it sailed over everyone and out for a goal-kick.
The opening goal eventually came 10 minutes later, when Ramahlwe Mphahlele whipped in a perfectly placed ball for Parker to steer a glancing header in at the back-post – the striker grabbing hs second goal in as many starts this season.
Just before the break, Erick Mathoho made a crucial block to deny Sibeko a chance at goal, after the hosts launched a threatening counter-attack for their most convincing attack of the half.
Two minutes into the second stanza, Gumede rushed off his line to try and intercept a pass from Tshabalala, but fouled Parker outside his area in the process and was shown a yellow card.
Maluleka then failed to make the most of the set-piece as his effort strick the wall, allowing Arrows the clear their lines.
Just before the hour-mark Khuzwayo was forced into a brilliant save to thwart Andile Fikizolo from point-blank range to keep his side in the lead.
He was then tested again in the 72nd minute, when Danny Phiri sent a thunderous shot towards goal, and the swerve of the ball almost caught Khuzwayo out as he parried it out for a corner.
Seven minutes later, Tshabalala was on hand to head home from Molangoane's cross to double his side's lead, ending Chiefs' year with a well deserved victory.
The win sees Amakhosi move temporarily into third spot, with 24 points from 15 games, just one point behind Bidvest Wits and Cape Town City, who have a game in hand.
