Lebese made the most of a fortunate opportunity when the ball fell to him on the right side of the penalty area, and he took one touch before blasting home on his weaker foot.
MATCH REPORT: Platinum Stars 0-2 Kaizer Chiefs
"The coach always teases me at training and says the right foot is also mine and I need to start using it more, and today fortunately I got the goal," Lebese said after the match.
"It was a good game, we managed to get three points but it was difficult playing them for a third time. But we focused on the game and got three points."
Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter was delighted with the result but feels there is still room for improvement.
"At times we played excellently. We started slowly and finished a little bit sloppily but in between there was some very good football," Baxter said.
"We created so many chances and I was just begging us to put the third goal away, but we didn't, and they came onto us, they're a good team and they'll keep pushing right to the finish.
"I'd still like us to stay focused for 90 minutes. I think we lose our focus sometimes and during that period the basic principles disappear."
Absa Man of the Match Tefu Mashamaite believes the team has developed a close understanding under Baxter, and that is the reason they are playing so fluently.
He added: "It wasn't easy. They wanted to put us under pressure. It's been three years since the coach joined us, the philosophy is slowly coming into place, we understand each other, there's that telepathy and I think that's carrying us right now."
