Collins Mbesuma on what it takes to play for Chiefs, Pirates, Sundowns

It is not every player that gets to represent each one of the PSL's big three of Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns in their career.

Since the PSL started in the 1996/97 season, only a few players have managed to achieve that feat, especially as a foreigner.

See who played for all three PSL giants in the gallery above!

Zambian striker Collins Mbesuma managed to represent all three teams after arriving in South Africa in 2004, despite being at one stage out of the country when he left to play his football in Europe.

What makes it special for 'Ntofontofo' is that he achieved that feat at the age of 28. To put the cherry on top, he even played for Moroka Swallows who at one stage were also regarded as one of the Soweto giants.

"I think it's demanding a lot hey, it's demanding," Mbesuma tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"It's like every club you go for trials you know. Your game must be there, ja so it's not easy at all. You know what you did at Chiefs they expect you to do the same at Sundowns, at Pirates. So it's always like you are on trial.

"Those three they can buy any player any time you know. So your game must be always up there. I never relaxed. When I go to another team I had to up my game again. I have to raise my game again.

"You know you are playing with the supporters... you know it's big teams. It's not easy, and if you don't have a big heart you won't succeed. People they are expecting a lot each and every game. They expect more from the players.

"So that's why it's not easy to play for all the big three. You come from Chiefs where there's pressure, you go to Sundowns there's also pressure, you go to Pirates there's also pressure... so you have to handle that pressure. It's different coaches, there's a lot involved."
