Sekhukhune United climbed to the top of the Betway Premiership table with a 3-0 win over Orbit College at Dobsonville Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Coach Eric Tinkler handed a recall to Thabang Monare in place of Miguel Timm as the only change from the loss to Stellenbosch FC in the MTN8 semi-finals over the weekend.
Orbit secured their first win last week in their first home game, although Tshepo Matsemela was handed a recall to the starting line-up as club captain Atisang Batsi dropped to the bench.
Tinkler not making any changes does come as a surprise as the team still have the second leg of their MTN8 semi-final coming up this week, while Orbit have had a full week to prepare for this fixture.
After a spells of attacks with no goals, Sekhukhune got the opening goal five minutes before the halftime break as Vusumzi Mncube opened his account for the season with a lovely first-time finish in the box after getting on the end of Keletso Makgalwa's cross.
The visitors carried that momentum into the second period and bagged a second goal via the same combination as Makgalwa did well to pick out the run of Mncube, who sent a fine header past Sekhoane Moerane.
Tinkler's charges took control thereafter and extended their advantage as Tshepo Mokoane opened his account for the season with a close-range header after Orbit went to sleep at the back.
The newly-promoted side were unable to find a way back into the contest, as Tinkler's charges maintained their winning start and moved top of the table.
