HT: Chiefs 0-0 Richards Bay

Kaizer Chiefs and Richards Bay FC entered the halftime break with the score level at 0-0 in their Betway Premiership clash.

Chiefs made just one change after the win over Polokwane City, with Siphesihle Ndlovu getting his first start of the season by replacing Gaston Sirino.

The hosts looked for a settled start with overlapping runs from Ndlovu, Wandile Duba and Glodly Lilepo, but they were unable to find the target.

Lilepo looked to open up the defence minutes thereafter and ran towards the area to get a shot in from distance, but goalkeeper Salim Magoola was able to make the save.

Chiefs made a substitution ten minutes to the break when Aden McCarthy picked up a hamstring injury and was replaced by Zitha Kwinika.

The Natal Rich Boys showed a bit of resolve before the interval with a couple of forward runs and passes, but failed to break down the Amakhosi defence.
